My intention wasn’t to make this the “month of marketing” tips, but here we are! I couldn’t resist – there are some things that are just too good NOT to share. Spoiler alert: I’ll have another one for you next week!
I found this LinkedIn “hack” from an email marketing expert I follow.
The formula is simple. And it’s also easy to consistently do, which I love.
My first attempt led me to a post asking for a specific background for the voice actor. I happened to know someone with that background and tagged them in the post. It can be a way to share the love with other talent you know.
Here’s what you do:
So, for voice over specifically –
Go to the search bar
Type in “looking for voice over”*
Filter the results by “posts”
Select the “date posted” dropdown and click on “past 24 hours”
Select the “sort by” dropdown and click on “latest”
Find people looking to hire voice talent
Share how you can help them in the comment section and DM them.
* Voice Over (two words) pulled up better results for me, but I’d test out VoiceOver and Voice Talent as well. You’ll just have to sift through actual voice talent posts too.
I don’t know if 2 prospects a day is realistic for voice over, though…as in, I don’t know if you’ll find that many every day. But it’s a quick 3 minute search that you can do once a week to find potential new leads.
